Global NCAP meet Japanese motor industry leaders
Global NCAP Chairman, Max Mosley and Secretary General David Ward visited Tokyo in May for meetings with government, industry and Japan NCAP. Meetings were held with senior management of Honda, Nissan-Datsun, Subaru and Toyota.
Discussions at Nissan-Datsun focused on the planned upgrade of the Datsun Go which was tested last year as part of Global NCAP’s ‘Safe Cars for India’ campaign.
A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Toyota’s Higashi Fuji Research Centre to see their crash test facility and 360-degree driving simulator.
