The Forum for Safer Mobility is Global NCAP's new event platform. It convenes leading international policymakers, regulators, industry experts, academics and civil society leaders to address some of the most important challenges in vehicle and road safety.
Why has it been established
Global NCAP's assessment work has traditionally focused on improving new car safety, especially in Low and Middle Income Countries. This mission remains our core activity. But we are also widening the advocacy conversation to include other modes of transport and to recognise the importance of a connected, systems based approach.
Mobility can’t be sustainable unless it’s safe. New technologies are creating an inflection point in our mobility choices and the implications for improved vehicle safety are enormous. The questions now being asked at city, national and international levels cut across regulator, industry and civil society perspectives.
The Forum exists to bring these multi-disciplinary voices together, helping to advance a shared agenda for action.
