Global NCAP Awards: Recognising outstanding achievement in vehicle safety
The Global NCAP Awards, presented at NCAP25, recognise outstanding leaders working in vehicle safety, across four categories.
Consumer Champion
The New Car Assessment Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean (Latin NCAP), for fifteen years of consumer protection and vehicle safety advocacy. Latin NCAP has become a vital source of consumer information in vehicle selection, while tirelessly campaigning to improve regional vehicle safety standards.
Innovation
Autoliv, the world’s largest automotive safety supplier, for its dedication to pioneering innovative automotive solutions. The company’s solutions have included airbags, seatbelts and pedestrian protection systems, contributing to hundreds of thousands of lives being saved, and serious injuries prevented, every year.
Partnership
China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), for its outstanding contribution to vehicle safety through the development of partnerships. CATARC is the first winner of this new award.
Individual Achievement
Etienne Krug, for his career-long achievements and commitment to road safety. The Awards panel noted: “Etienne’s tireless dedication to road safety advocacy for evidence-based and effective road injury prevention policies has been exemplary. For all of the above Global NCAP is profoundly grateful and pleased to acknowledge his outstanding achievements through this special award.”
